SHARE INFORMATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS WHO
OWN & OPERATE CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE – BOTH CYBER
AND PHYSICAL – ACROSS A VARIETY OF SECTORS

It is critical that we encourage cooperation with stakeholders who own and operate cyber and physical infrastructure across a variety of sectors, including tech, energy, finance, health and transportation.  It is virtually impossible for critical infrastructure entities to protect themselves and, more broadly, the United States from cyberattacks without significant assistance from the federal government.

We need to develop a classified network to share cyber-threat information with private companies that have critical infrastructure.  There is absolutely a way to achieve this while, at the same time, protecting the "source and methods" of our intelligence communities.  Already, the Department of Defense shares classified information with defense contractors who have security clearances.  Simply expanding this network to include cyber threats would go a long way toward protecting critical infrastructure.
